My name is Shelly Chen, and I am currently a 12th grader at York School, Monterey. And because I am an international student, I often joked to the mentors that I came all the way from China for YAC! It is an amazing, supportive, and creative community. I have been at YAC for more than three years already, and was constantly inspired by other YACsters. The three media I am most familiar with are acrylic, Chinese ink painting, and digital art. For this show, I included two digital portraits and an acrylic landscape painting.
